Rockliffe's Babies is a British television drama produced by the BBC which ran for two series between 1987 and 1988. The series was devised by Richard O`Keeffe and produced by Leonard Lewis. Writers included Richard O`Keeffe, Don Webb, Charlie Humphreys and Nick Perry. Directors included Derek Lister, Keith Washington, Clive Fleury and David Attwood. Featuring guest appearances from Lonnie Donegan, Norman Beaton, Pauline Quirke, Kevin Lloyd, John Michie and John Woodvine

  The programme was a police procedural drama, starring Ian Hogg as Sgt. Alan Rockliffe, assigned to train a team of inexperienced PCs - Gerry O'Dowd (Joe McGann), Steve Hood (Brett Fancy), Janice Hargreaves (Alphonsia Emmanuel), David Adams (Bill Champion), Paul Georgiou (Martyn Ellis), Keith Chitty (John Blakely) and Karen Walsh (Susanna Shelling).


This ratings-winning drama charts the progress of seven trainee CID officers learning the ropes in some of London's toughest areas.
